BANQUET DINNER

The banquet dinner will take place at Chapeau! Restaurant (https://chapeau-restaurant.com) in the charming neighborhood of Hamburg Winterhude. From the conference venue, we will take the bus and/or subway together to get there. Dinner will be a 3-course meal. A selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks will be included. There will be a vegetarian, a vegan, a chicken, a red meat, and a fish option for the main course. Jutta will circulate the food options to everyone registered for the conference in early June.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES / EXCURSION

  • Walking tour of the iconic Speicherstadt, modern opera house (Elbphilarmonie), and Hafencity neighborhood
  • Harbor boat trip (with snacks!)

TRAVEL INFO

Hamburg has its own airport that is just 20 minutes by train from the city center (airport code HAM). From here, take the S1 train (regional train) to Jungfernstieg station (that is the one after Hamburg main station) and transfer to the U4 towards Elbbrücken; get off at Hafencity University. However, if you find better flights to Berlin-Brandenburg airport (BER), you could take a train from BER to Berlin and then from Berlin to Hamburg (will take just under 3 hours total). Jutta can help you arrange for travel if necessary.

SWAG

This is the 30th anniversary meeting of ISBN, and if that’s not a reason to celebrate, we don’t know what is. So there will be some swag to commemorate. But we won’t tell you what it is. Join us and you will see!
